CrimeUpdate –  A man sustained serious injuries after being shot in Bihar’s Jehanabad district, prompting police to launch an extensive investigation and form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to track down those responsible. Authorities said the victim is currently receiving treatment while efforts to identify and arrest the accused are continuing.

The shooting took place in Nisarpura village of Jehanabad district. According to police officials, the injured man has been identified as Munna Kumar Singh. Law enforcement personnel reached the location soon after receiving information about the incident and arranged immediate medical assistance for the victim.

Victim Shifted for Advanced Medical Care

Jehanabad Superintendent of Police Aparajit Lohan said the injured man was initially provided medical attention before being referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for specialized treatment. Officials stated that his condition is being closely monitored by doctors.

Police said emergency response teams acted swiftly to ensure the victim received timely care following the attack. The focus remains on both his treatment and the ongoing criminal investigation.

Investigation Progresses as Suspects Identified

Authorities revealed that preliminary inquiries conducted in and around the village have led investigators to identify several individuals who may have links to the shooting. Based on information gathered from local sources and early evidence, police have shortlisted four to five suspects for further examination.

Officials emphasized that investigators are collecting statements and reviewing all available information to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack. The identities of the suspects have not yet been publicly disclosed.

Special Investigation Team Formed

To speed up the investigation, district police have constituted a Special Investigation Team. The SIT has been assigned the responsibility of coordinating search operations, gathering evidence, and locating those believed to be involved in the crime.

Police teams are conducting raids at multiple locations as part of the operation. Senior officers stated that continuous efforts are underway to trace the suspects and bring them into custody at the earliest.

According to officials, additional legal proceedings will move forward after receiving a formal complaint from the victim’s family. Police said procedural requirements are being followed and all relevant evidence will be examined before further action is taken.
