Student Had Recently Shifted to Indore for Exam Preparation

The deceased has been identified as Priyansh Kaurav, a resident of Indrapuri Colony in the Narsinghgarh-Gadarwara region of Madhya Pradesh. According to police officials, Priyansh had moved to Indore nearly two weeks ago to focus on his SSC examination preparation. He was living in a rented room in the Bhanwarkua locality with three other students who were also preparing for competitive examinations.

Incident Came to Light After Roommates Returned

Police said the matter surfaced on Monday night when two of Priyansh’s roommates returned from their coaching classes and found him hanging inside the room. They immediately took him down and rushed him to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. Doctors later referred him to Maharaja Yeshwantrao (MY) Hospital, where he was declared dead.

Officials said another roommate had stepped out earlier in the evening to meet someone, leaving Priyansh alone in the accommodation before the incident occurred.

Friends Shared Details During Initial Investigation

During the preliminary inquiry, Priyansh’s friends informed investigators that he had recently joined demo classes for SSC preparation. However, they claimed he had been experiencing difficulty concentrating on his studies over the past several days.

According to their statements, Priyansh had spoken with his parents a few days earlier and expressed a wish to return home because he was finding it challenging to continue his preparation in Indore. His family had reportedly agreed to bring him back, but the incident took place before those plans could be carried out.

Police Continue Investigation

Investigators said Priyansh belonged to a farming family. His father works as a farmer, while his elder brother is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Bhopal.

Police officials confirmed that no suicide note was recovered during the initial search of the rented room. A case of unnatural death has been registered, and authorities are examining all available evidence to establish the exact sequence of events leading to the student’s death.

Post-Mortem and Statements Underway

The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination as part of the legal procedure. Police are also recording statements from the deceased’s family members, roommates, and other individuals connected to the case to assist with the investigation.

Officials have stated that the inquiry is ongoing, and further details will be known after the post-mortem report and witness statements are reviewed. Authorities have urged people not to speculate about the cause of the incident until the investigation is completed and all facts are verified.
