Crime – Faridabad School Teacher Killed in Daylight Knife Attack, Suspect Arrested Quickly
Crime –A woman teacher lost her life after being attacked with a knife inside a school campus in Faridabad on Monday morning. According to police, the accused had allegedly been following the victim for some time and carried out the assault after she reportedly ended all communication with him. Authorities said the suspect was taken into custody within two hours of the incident.
Fatal Attack Inside School Campus
The incident occurred at around 9:30 a.m. at Saraswati Senior Secondary School in Sikrona village. Police officials stated that the teacher suffered multiple stab wounds to her chest and neck during the attack. She was immediately taken for medical treatment but could not be saved.
A criminal case has been registered at Sector 58 Police Station following a complaint filed by the victim’s husband. Investigators have launched a detailed inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
CCTV Footage Captures the Incident
CCTV footage of the attack, which has circulated widely on social media, reportedly shows the accused standing near the school’s main entrance with his face covered by a scarf before the teacher arrived. As she entered the premises, he allegedly pulled out a knife hidden inside his clothing and attacked her repeatedly.
Police said a member of the school staff attempted to stop the assault. However, the accused allegedly threatened him with the weapon before escaping from the scene on a motorcycle.
School Administrator Describes the Sequence of Events
School administrator Tejpal, who witnessed the incident, said the teacher had been working at the school for nearly a year.
According to him, screams from outside the office drew his attention shortly after the school day began. When he rushed outside, he found the teacher lying on the ground while the attacker continued to assault her. Tejpal said he tried to intervene, but the accused moved towards him with the knife, forcing him to step back. The attacker then fled from the school premises on a motorcycle.
Tejpal immediately informed the police and arranged for the teacher to be taken to Al-Falah Hospital. Doctors at the hospital declared her dead after examination.
Police Trace and Arrest the Suspect
Following the attack, Faridabad Police activated their crime branch teams and began an intensive search operation. Officials said investigators relied on technical surveillance along with information gathered through their local informer network to identify the suspect.
The AVTS Sikrona team arrested Amit, a 21-year-old resident of Kot village in Faridabad, within hours of the incident. Police confirmed that the suspect has been taken into custody for further questioning and legal proceedings.
Preliminary Investigation Points to Alleged Motive
During the initial interrogation, police said the accused allegedly admitted that he attacked the teacher because she had stopped speaking to him and wanted to end all contact. Investigators are continuing to examine the case, collect evidence, and verify all aspects of the suspect’s statement.
Authorities have not disclosed any additional details regarding the nature of the relationship between the victim and the accused. Police said the investigation remains ongoing, and further findings will emerge as evidence is examined and witness statements are recorded.
