Amaravati – HappyNest Project Records 1.5 Million Injury-Free Work Hours

Amaravati –  The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority has reported a major workplace safety achievement at the HappyNest residential project in Amaravati, where construction teams have completed 1.5 million man-hours without a Lost Time Injury.

Amaravati happynest safety milestone

The housing project is being developed by APCRDA as part of the wider Capital City Amaravati and Amaravati Government Complex development programme. NCC Limited is carrying out the construction work at the site.

Large Residential Development Under Construction

HappyNest is planned as a sizeable residential complex with 1,200 apartments spread across 12 towers. Each tower is designed with a ground floor and 18 upper floors, forming a G+18 structure.

Work on the project involves a large number of engineers, construction workers, contractors, consultants and other personnel. APCRDA said the injury-free milestone demonstrates coordinated efforts across the project site while construction activities continue.

Safety Systems Kept Under Continuous Review

According to APCRDA officials, the project team has followed established safety procedures throughout the construction process. Regular site inspections, close supervision of work activities and preventive safety measures have been part of the daily operations.

Workers have also been provided with safety training and awareness sessions to help them identify risks and follow safe working practices. Officials said these measures have supported steady construction progress without a work-related incident resulting in lost time.

The authority noted that maintaining safety at a high-rise residential construction site requires constant attention, particularly as multiple activities are carried out simultaneously. The project team has focused on ensuring that safety requirements are followed at every stage of the work.

Recognition for Project Workforce

APCRDA credited the achievement to the combined efforts of all those associated with the HappyNest project. The authority acknowledged the role of employees, engineers, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders in maintaining safety standards during the construction period.

A programme was held at the project camp site on Wednesday to mark the completion of 1.5 million safe man-hours. Personnel who contributed to the project’s safety performance were given appreciation awards and incentives during the event.

Focus on Safe Construction Practices

The authority said the milestone reflects its emphasis on operational discipline and engineering standards in the development of Amaravati. APCRDA added that safety will remain a central priority as work progresses on the HappyNest residential complex.

The project is among the residential developments being undertaken as part of the Amaravati capital region plan. Once completed, the complex is expected to add a significant number of apartments to the city’s planned housing infrastructure.

APCRDA said continued coordination between the project management team and on-site workforce will be important in sustaining the safety record during the remaining phases of construction.
