APCRDA Commissioner V. Vijaya Rama Raju visited the project site along with Additional Commissioner Abhishek Kumar to assess the present stage of work and examine the pace of construction at the two landmark buildings.
Officials Assess Construction Progress
During the site inspection, the Commissioner reviewed various components of the ongoing works and sought updates from project engineers and contractors. The towers are among the major infrastructure projects planned for the Amaravati Government Complex and are expected to form an important part of the proposed administrative facilities in the capital region.
Officials examined the status of structural works, available resources and the arrangements being made to meet upcoming construction targets. The review was aimed at ensuring that the project continues to move forward in an organised and planned manner.
Meeting Held With Contractors and Engineers
Following the inspection, the Commissioner and Additional Commissioner held a review meeting with contractors, engineering officials and representatives of the agencies involved in the project.
The discussion focused on construction schedules, workforce deployment, material availability and coordination between the different teams working at the site. Officials asked the executing agencies to identify any issues that could affect progress and address them without delay.
The Commissioner stressed that the works should proceed in line with approved plans and technical specifications. He also directed the teams to maintain regular monitoring of the project so that construction milestones are achieved within the scheduled timeframe.
Focus on Quality and Safety Standards
During the meeting, special attention was given to the need for maintaining prescribed quality standards throughout the construction process. The Commissioner said that the development of major government infrastructure requires careful supervision at every stage.
Contractors and engineering teams were instructed to ensure that all works meet required safety norms and technical standards. The officials noted that speed should not affect the quality of construction, particularly in projects that are expected to serve long-term administrative needs.
The project teams were also asked to improve efficiency by ensuring the availability of sufficient machinery, materials and skilled workers at the site. Adequate manpower and resources will be necessary to complete the planned works according to the approved schedule.
APCRDA Pushes Timely Project Delivery
The inspection is part of APCRDA’s ongoing effort to monitor key projects being developed in Amaravati. The authority has been conducting periodic reviews to track progress and ensure that major infrastructure works are completed in a systematic manner.
Iconic Towers 1 and 2 are being developed as part of the broader Amaravati Government Complex project. Their construction is seen as an important step in creating modern government facilities in the capital region.
Officials said continued coordination between contractors, engineers and project management teams will remain essential in the coming months. The APCRDA has reiterated that timely completion, construction quality and workplace safety will remain central priorities as work progresses on the iconic towers.
