Governance – Yogi Adityanath Reviews Public Complaints, Calls for Stronger School Attendance
Governance – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday met citizens during a Janta Darshan programme in Lucknow, where he personally reviewed complaints submitted by members of the public and directed officials to take prompt action. The public interaction was held as part of the government’s regular outreach initiative, allowing residents from different districts to present their concerns directly before the Chief Minister. Alongside the grievance hearing, Adityanath also appealed to teachers and parents to work together in improving school attendance ahead of the second phase of the Chalo School Campaign beginning on July 1.

Chief Minister Reviews Public Grievances
During the Janta Darshan, people arrived with written applications outlining issues related to public services and local administration. The Chief Minister examined several complaints himself and instructed the concerned departments to ensure timely resolution. Copies of the applications were also handed over to the officials present so that appropriate follow-up action could begin without delay.
The programme continues to serve as one of the state government’s regular public outreach efforts, providing citizens with an opportunity to directly communicate their concerns to the highest level of the state administration. Officials from multiple departments remained present during the event to receive instructions and coordinate the response to the grievances.
Focus Shifts to School Enrolment Campaign
Later in the day, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of education as Uttar Pradesh prepares to launch the second phase of its Chalo School Campaign from July 1. In a message shared on X, he described the beginning of July as more than the start of a new month, saying it also represents a renewed commitment to ensuring that every child receives access to education.
He noted that the campaign aims to encourage children to attend school regularly while reinforcing the state’s efforts to bring more students into classrooms. The initiative is intended to strengthen participation in the education system through cooperation between schools, families and local communities.
Teachers Encouraged to Create Better Learning Environment
Addressing teachers, Adityanath stressed that classrooms should become places where children are eager to learn rather than spaces they attend simply out of routine. He encouraged educators to make lessons more engaging by incorporating activities that help students enjoy their time at school.
According to the Chief Minister, sports, games and other interactive activities can play an important role in increasing students’ interest in education. He said such efforts can help children develop a stronger connection with their schools while improving regular attendance.
Parents Asked to Support Children’s Progress
The Chief Minister also appealed to parents to play an active role in shaping their children’s future through consistent support for education. He urged families to ensure that children attend school regularly and remain committed to learning throughout the academic year.
Adityanath further advised parents not to judge their children solely on examination scores. Instead, he said, greater importance should be given to qualities such as determination, discipline and dedication, which contribute to long-term personal growth and academic success.
Government Continues Dual Focus on Governance and Education
Monday’s activities reflected two major priorities of the Uttar Pradesh government—addressing public concerns through direct interaction with citizens and strengthening educational participation across the state. While the Janta Darshan programme focused on resolving administrative issues faced by residents, the renewed emphasis on the Chalo School Campaign underscored the government’s efforts to improve school attendance and encourage greater involvement from teachers and parents.
With the next phase of the campaign set to begin on July 1, state authorities are expected to continue outreach efforts aimed at ensuring that every eligible child remains connected to the education system while public grievance mechanisms continue to function alongside regular administrative work.
