Methamphetamine – A major anti-narcotics operation in Delhi’s Swaroop Nagar area ended in tragedy after a Nigerian woman allegedly fell from the balcony of a fourth-floor apartment during a police search. Authorities later identified the woman as Stella Pius. The raid also led investigators to uncover what they described as a suspected methamphetamine production and storage network operating from several rented residential units.

Woman Dies During Enforcement Action

According to local residents, narcotics officials arrived in the neighborhood early in the day as part of an ongoing investigation. Witnesses said the officers were accompanied by a Nigerian national and spent several hours conducting searches inside multiple apartments.

Residents later learned that a woman had reportedly jumped from the rear side of one of the buildings into a nearby field. Emergency efforts followed, but she died shortly afterward. A forensic team later arrived at the scene and transported the body for further examination.

Residents Describe Unusual Discovery

People living in the area said they had no prior indication of any illegal activity taking place inside the rented flats. However, after law enforcement officers completed their searches, residents became aware of the scale of the operation allegedly being investigated.

According to eyewitness accounts, officials found equipment and machinery that appeared to be linked to drug-related activities. The discovery surprised many local residents, who said the tenants had lived in the neighborhood for more than a year without attracting significant attention.

Multiple Flats Under Investigation

Residents stated that several apartments within the same locality had been rented by the group. They estimated that around five to six individuals were frequently seen at the properties, while additional visitors would occasionally arrive.

Despite the regular movement of people, neighbors said nothing appeared suspicious enough to raise concerns. The alleged activities only came to light after the extensive police operation and subsequent forensic examination of the premises.

Police Recover Chemicals and Equipment

Delhi Police confirmed that the searches were conducted in connection with an investigation under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Officials said the operation resulted in the recovery of various materials believed to be associated with the manufacture and storage of synthetic narcotics.

Among the items seized were chemical substances, laboratory-style glassware, pipes, weighing scales, and storage sacks. Investigators stated that the recovered materials suggested the premises may have been used as a facility for producing and storing methamphetamine.

Investigation Continues

Authorities have launched a detailed examination of the recovered materials and the activities linked to the rented apartments. Forensic experts are expected to assist in determining the nature and extent of the alleged drug operation.

Police officials have not yet released further details regarding possible arrests or additional suspects connected to the case. Investigators are continuing to gather evidence as part of the broader probe into the suspected narcotics network.

The incident has drawn significant attention due to both the death that occurred during the operation and the alleged discovery of a large-scale synthetic drug manufacturing setup within a residential area. Authorities have indicated that the investigation remains active and that further findings may emerge as inquiries progress.
