Speaking during an interaction with senior representatives of major international news organizations, including PTI, Putin emphasized that efforts by certain Western countries to influence India’s engagement with Russia have not produced the intended results and could negatively affect global diplomatic stability.
Focus on Economic Growth
Putin commended India’s rapid economic progress and pointed to its emergence as one of the world’s leading economies. He noted that the country’s growth trajectory reflects sustained policy efforts and effective governance over recent years. According to the Russian leader, the expanding economic relationship between Moscow and New Delhi is expected to continue gaining momentum, with bilateral trade potentially reaching the USD 100 billion mark within the next few years.
The Russian president said India’s economic achievements have earned international recognition and expressed confidence that commercial cooperation between the two countries will deepen across multiple sectors.
Remarks on International Pressure
Addressing questions about Western concerns regarding India-Russia relations, Putin stated that attempts to persuade New Delhi to reduce cooperation with Moscow have not led to any visible impact.
