NEET Paper Leak – Rajasthan Probe Reveals Massive Question Bank Circulation
NEET Paper Leak – The investigation into the alleged leak linked to the NEET UG 2026 examination has uncovered new details from Rajasthan, where authorities are examining how a suspected question bank circulated among students before the test was conducted.

The issue surfaced after claims emerged that a document titled “Guess Paper” had been distributed in coaching centres across Rajasthan’s Sikar and Jhunjhunu districts ahead of the examination scheduled for May 3. Investigators believe the document contained around 410 questions, and more than 130 of them reportedly matched the actual examination paper.
Investigation Focuses on Rajasthan Coaching Network
Officials associated with the Rajasthan Police Special Operations Group (SOG) said the similarities between the circulated material and the official question paper went beyond identical questions. Investigators reportedly found matching option sequences, punctuation patterns, sentence structures, and formatting details.
The probe has already led to the detention of 15 individuals. Among those questioned are Jaipur resident Manish Yadav and Sikar-based Rakesh Mandawaria. Investigators suspect Yadav played a central role in coordinating the operation within Rajasthan, while Mandawaria is believed to have managed activities through an office operating under the name R K Consultancy.
Biology and Chemistry Sections Under Scrutiny
According to sources linked to the investigation, forensic comparisons between the suspected “Guess Paper” and the actual NEET examination paper revealed extensive overlap in the science sections. Authorities reportedly found that all Biology questions and the entire Chemistry section closely resembled the material circulated before the exam.
The findings intensified concerns regarding the integrity of the national-level medical entrance examination, which is considered one of the most competitive tests in the country.
Question Material Allegedly Sold Before Exam
Investigators believe the document had reached coaching hubs in Sikar nearly a month before the examination date. Sources claimed the material was allegedly sold to aspiring medical students for amounts reaching nearly Rs 7 lakh shortly before the exam took place.
The circulation of the suspected question bank triggered raids and extensive questioning by SOG teams in several locations across Rajasthan. Authorities are now examining financial transactions, communication records, and links between coaching operators and intermediaries.
Student Connection Emerges in Preliminary Findings
Early findings in the case suggest that a medical student originally from Churu, currently studying MBBS in Kerala, may have played a role in transferring the material. Investigators suspect the student shared the question bank with an acquaintance in Sikar on May 1.
Officials believe the material was then forwarded to a person managing student accommodation facilities in Sikar on May 2. From there, the document allegedly spread among students preparing for the examination and later reached career counsellors and coaching contacts.
Complaint Filed After Examination Conducted
After the examination concluded on May 3, a PG accommodation operator in Sikar reportedly approached the Udyog Nagar police station as well as the National Testing Agency (NTA). The complaint alleged that several students had obtained access to the suspected question material before appearing for the examination.
The matter gained wider attention after answer key discussions and online exam analysis began circulating on May 6. Students and coaching institutes reportedly started comparing the actual paper with the alleged question bank, leading to growing suspicion regarding a possible leak.
NTA Responds as Arrests Increase
The National Testing Agency acknowledged receiving information related to suspected irregularities on May 7, four days after the examination was held. Officials stated that concerns had emerged from both Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.
Following the reports, Rajasthan SOG teams intensified operations in Sikar and Jhunjhunu. By May 12, authorities had arrested 13 people in connection with the ongoing investigation, while further questioning and searches continue.
Officials indicated that additional names could emerge as the probe progresses, particularly from networks linked to coaching centres and student preparation groups.
