The Chinese Foreign Ministry confirmed the development through an official statement shared on social media platform X. The announcement stated that Trump would arrive in China this week for meetings with President Xi and senior Chinese officials.
Focus on Trade and Investment Relations
Ahead of the upcoming visit, senior US officials indicated that both countries are preparing for detailed discussions on economic cooperation. One of the main areas expected to dominate the agenda is the continuation of work surrounding a proposed US-China Board of Trade and Board of Investment.
Officials familiar with the preparations said the two governments are looking to identify sectors where both sides can expand commercial cooperation while addressing long-standing trade concerns.
