Youth Killed in Shalimar Bagh, Accused Post Video Online

According to police officials, the first incident occurred late Thursday night in the Shalimar Bagh locality. Authorities received an emergency call reporting a stabbing near Haiderpur Nahar. The victim, identified as 20-year-old Nitesh, also known as Nikki, was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Preliminary findings suggest that the attack followed a heated argument. Investigators revealed that three individuals—two adults aged 18 and 22, along with a minor—allegedly assaulted the victim, inflicting multiple stab wounds.

In a disturbing development, one of the accused reportedly recorded and shared a video on social media shortly after the incident. In the clip, he appeared to boast about committing the crime and indicated that he expected to be arrested soon. The video quickly drew attention and became a key piece of evidence in the case.

Swift Police Action Leads to Arrests

Law enforcement agencies acted promptly after receiving information from local sources and using technical surveillance tools. All three suspects were apprehended within four hours of the crime. During questioning, they reportedly admitted their involvement in the killing.

Police officials stated that further investigation is underway to establish the sequence of events and determine the exact motive behind the attack. Authorities are also examining the role of social media in the case, particularly the circulation of the video shared by the accused.

Separate Incident in Azadpur Mandi Turns Fatal

In another case reported early Friday morning, a minor altercation in the Azadpur Mandi area escalated into a deadly confrontation. The victim, 35-year-old Nazim, worked as a driver and was originally from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh.

Police said the dispute began over something as trivial as the price of gutka. What started as a verbal disagreement quickly turned violent, culminating in a stabbing. Nazim was taken to BJRM Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The accused, a 19-year-old resident of Libaspur, was detained shortly after the incident. Authorities have launched a detailed probe to understand how the situation escalated so rapidly and whether there were any prior tensions between the individuals involved.

Concerns Over Rising Street Violence

These back-to-back incidents have highlighted the alarming ease with which minor disagreements are turning into fatal encounters. Officials have urged citizens to resolve disputes peacefully and avoid confrontation.

Police presence in sensitive areas is likely to be increased, and additional preventive measures may be introduced to curb such incidents. Authorities are also appealing to the public to refrain from sharing or glorifying violent acts on social media, as it can have serious legal and social consequences.

Investigations in both cases are ongoing, and further details are expected as police continue to gather evidence and statements from witnesses.
