Election – PM Modi to Address Rallies and Roadshow During Kerala Visit
Election – Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Kerala on Saturday to support the National Democratic Alliance’s campaign ahead of the Assembly elections set for April 9. The visit is being viewed as a key effort to boost the alliance’s visibility and connect with voters across several important regions of the state.

Public Meeting Planned in Thiruvalla
According to party representatives, the Prime Minister will begin his engagements with a major public gathering in Thiruvalla, located in Pathanamthitta district. The event is expected to take place at the town’s main stadium, where NDA candidates and senior leaders from nearby constituencies will join him on stage.
Party workers anticipate a strong turnout, with preparations already in place to manage large crowds. The rally is seen as an opportunity to strengthen the alliance’s presence in central Kerala, where electoral competition remains intense.
Arrival and Route Details
PM Modi is expected to land at the NSS College grounds in Changanassery, in Kottayam district, around mid-afternoon. From there, he will proceed by road to Thiruvalla for the public meeting. Organisers have arranged security measures and logistical support to ensure the smooth movement of the Prime Minister and attendees.
Local BJP leaders have stated that the visit is designed not only to mobilise party supporters but also to reach undecided voters through direct interaction and visible campaigning.
Roadshow in Thiruvananthapuram
Later in the day, the Prime Minister will travel to Thiruvananthapuram, where a roadshow has been planned. The procession will cover a distance of about 1.5 kilometres, stretching from Killipalam Junction to Karamana.
The roadshow is expected to draw participation from party members, volunteers, and members of the public. Such events are often used to create direct engagement with voters and showcase grassroots support during election campaigns.
Senior Leaders to Join Campaign
Several senior BJP leaders, including Rajeev Chandrasekhar and V. Muraleedharan, are likely to accompany the Prime Minister during different parts of the visit. Their presence is expected to reinforce the campaign’s messaging and provide coordination at the local level.
The NDA leadership believes that coordinated efforts involving national and regional leaders can help strengthen its position in the upcoming elections.
Previous Campaign Activity in Puducherry
The Kerala visit follows a series of campaign events by the Prime Minister in southern India. On Friday, he participated in a large roadshow in Puducherry, which saw significant public attendance and extensive security arrangements.
The NDA alliance in Puducherry, which includes the BJP, the All India NR Congress led by Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, the AIADMK, and other regional partners, is working to consolidate its electoral base ahead of polling.
Travel and Reception
Earlier, the Prime Minister travelled from New Delhi to Chennai on a special flight and then continued to Puducherry by helicopter. Upon arrival, he was received by Chief Minister Rangasamy along with senior party leaders and officials.
The sequence of events highlights the importance being placed on southern states in the current phase of election campaigning. With multiple rallies and public appearances, the leadership is aiming to maintain momentum and strengthen voter outreach ahead of polling day.
