CreditCard – Swiggy and HDFC Bank Introduce Two New Cashback Credit Cards

  CreditCard – Swiggy and HDFC Bank have expanded their partnership by introducing two new co-branded credit card variants aimed at delivering broader cashback benefits across food delivery, travel, shopping, and lifestyle services. The new cards, named Swiggy BLCK HDFC Bank Credit Card and Swiggy Ornge HDFC Bank Credit Card, are expected to provide users with higher value on frequent online purchases and everyday transactions.

Expansion of a Growing Co-Branded Partnership

The collaboration between Swiggy, one of India’s leading on-demand convenience platforms, and HDFC Bank, the country’s largest private sector lender, continues to grow with the launch of these additional credit card options. The initiative builds on the success of their original co-branded credit card introduced in 2023.

According to the companies, the newly introduced variants are designed to match the changing spending patterns of modern consumers. With people increasingly using digital platforms for food delivery, shopping, entertainment, and travel, the cards aim to deliver meaningful rewards across these commonly used categories.

The expanded credit card portfolio is structured to provide a range of cashback incentives and instant discounts across partner platforms. Customers may receive benefits that could add up to significant annual savings depending on usage patterns.

Cashback and Partner Platform Benefits

Both newly launched credit cards offer a reward system that combines cashback and discounts on several online services. Cardholders can access promotional benefits through partner platforms such as Cleartrip for travel bookings and Nykaa for beauty and lifestyle purchases.

For hotel bookings on Cleartrip, users can receive a flat discount combined with additional cashback. Similar offers are available for flight bookings through the same platform. Nykaa users can also benefit from instant discounts alongside cashback across the brand’s online applications.

These incentives are intended to strengthen the overall rewards ecosystem associated with the Swiggy and HDFC Bank partnership, giving card members advantages across multiple spending categories.

Features of the Swiggy BLCK Credit Card

The Swiggy BLCK HDFC Bank Credit Card has been introduced primarily for consumers who spend frequently across lifestyle services, travel, entertainment, and online shopping platforms.

Cardholders using this variant can receive up to 10 percent cashback on purchases made through Swiggy’s ecosystem. Additionally, they can earn up to 5 percent cashback on select partner platforms in areas such as entertainment, travel bookings, and e-commerce shopping.

All other transactions made using the card provide a standard cashback reward as well. New users of this variant will also receive a complimentary three-month membership to Swiggy One BLCK, the company’s premium subscription program that offers benefits across deliveries and other services.

Features of the Swiggy Ornge Credit Card

The Swiggy Ornge HDFC Bank Credit Card is designed for consumers who regularly spend on everyday essentials and frequently use digital services such as food delivery, ride bookings, and online travel platforms.

This variant offers cashback on Swiggy purchases and several everyday spending categories. Users can earn rewards on travel bookings, ride-hailing services, and other commonly used online services. Like the premium variant, the card also provides cashback on general transactions.

Customers who opt for this card will receive a one-year membership to Swiggy One, which offers benefits such as delivery fee savings and additional rewards within the Swiggy ecosystem.

Company Leaders on the New Launch

Phani Kishan Addepalli, Chief Growth Officer and Co-Founder at Swiggy Ltd., said the original co-branded card was introduced to simplify payments while rewarding everyday spending. He noted that as consumers increasingly spend across lifestyle services, they expect payment solutions that deliver greater value.

He explained that the new BLCK and Ornge variants aim to make the card program accessible to a wider group of users while allowing them to earn higher rewards across Swiggy services, shopping platforms, and travel bookings.

Vidya Pradeep, Head of Credit and Debit Cards Product and Portfolio at HDFC Bank, highlighted that the new launch reflects the bank’s strategy to develop category-focused financial products. She added that introducing two distinct variants allows customers to choose a card aligned with their spending habits, whether focused on premium lifestyle services or everyday purchases.

Application and Availability

The two new credit cards will be introduced gradually through a phased rollout. Interested customers can apply directly through the Swiggy mobile application or through HDFC Bank’s digital banking platforms.

The specific card variant issued to applicants will depend on the bank’s eligibility criteria and customer profile.
