The development follows a proposal by Yamanashi Governor Kotaro Nagasaki to visit the state in August along with a delegation of 200 Japanese chief executives, marking what officials describe as a significant step forward in bilateral engagement.
Governor Proposes Major Business Delegation Visit
The proposal was discussed during a recent meeting between Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Nagasaki. According to officials, the planned visit is aimed at expanding business partnerships and exploring fresh investment opportunities across key sectors in the state.
Chief Minister Adityanath welcomed the initiative, calling it an important moment in the evolving relationship between Uttar Pradesh and Yamanashi. The visit, if finalized, is expected to bring senior executives from a wide range of industries, opening the door for new joint ventures and technology collaborations.
Memorandum of Understanding Signed

In addition, plans for a Japan Industrial Township within the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority area are being advanced.
