Officers detained him on the spot. According to investigators, Yadav is married to the victim’s sister, making him her brother-in-law. Authorities believe the alleged assault was motivated by a long-running family dispute.

Disguise Used to Avoid Detection

Police revealed that the accused allegedly wore women’s attire at the time of the attack in an attempt to avoid being recognised. Investigators believe the disguise was intended to approach the victim without raising suspicion or alerting bystanders.

A cutter blade, which police suspect was used in the assault, was recovered from the accused’s possession. The weapon has been sent for forensic examination as part of the ongoing investigation.

Forensic Examination and Legal Action

After securing the area, a forensic team conducted a detailed inspection of the crime scene. Evidence was collected to support the case, and CCTV cameras installed in and around the locality are being reviewed to trace the accused’s movements before and after the incident.

Police have registered a case under Section 109(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Budh Vihar police station. Officials said the investigation remains active, and further legal proceedings will follow based on the findings.
