Riffat Mukhtar Raja, the Director General of the FIA, described current trends and enforcement operations during the meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Rights, which was presided over by Agha Rafiullah. 51,000 Pakistanis were refused admission this year, he told the committee.

Additionally, he said that Saudi Arabia has the greatest deportation rate, returning 24,000 people for begging. On identical reasons, the UAE also deported 6,000 Pakistanis, while Azerbaijan evicted some 2,500 beggars.

He said that when police found documentation showing their desire to enter European nations, they apprehended a number of individuals who were trying to go to Europe under the pretense of doing the Umrah. The FIA DG said, “Those passengers were denied entry based on evidence,” according to Geo News.

The committee was also informed that, according to Geo News, 24,000 Pakistanis visited Cambodia this year, with 12,000 of them remaining unreturned, and 4,000 traveled to Myanmar on tourist visas, with around 2,500 of them not coming back.

Pakistan was formerly among the top five countries for illegal migration, but the FIA chairman said that stronger controls had improved the country’s passport rating from 118 to 92.

Additionally, he said that the number of Pakistanis traveling illegally to Europe has decreased, from 8,000 last year to 4,000 this year. According to Geo News, the FIA DG said that official passports from Germany and Dubai are now visa-free, and an online immigration application would be available by the middle of January.

According to a Wednesday report by Geo News, more than 200 Pakistanis were deported from several nations, including Saudi Arabia and the US, earlier in January of this year. These deportations are caused by a number of concerns, including human trafficking, legal troubles, and visa infractions, according to Geo News.
