Weather Update: IMD warns of a cold wave and dense fog in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh; snowfall is expected in hilly areas

Weather Update: For the next several days, dense fog and a cold wave are expected in the northern states, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The minimum temperature in these states is expected to decrease by two to three degrees Celsius, according to the meteorological service. The southern states’ coastal areas are likely to get mild to moderate rain, while the highland states are expected to see snowfall. Dense fog, particularly in the morning, may cause problems for commuters, according to the IMD. In order to prevent any problems, the weather service has recommended that the people to abide by the rules and restrict their trips.

Dense fog is expected in the northern states.
The meteorological service said that chilly waves and heavy fog are expected in a number of states, including Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar. It went on to say that cold wave conditions are also anticipated in the other areas on Saturday, including Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha. The lowest temperature in these areas is predicted to stay at around 9 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature is probably going to be 25 degrees Celsius.

In hilly areas, snowfall is likely.
According to the IMD, snow or light rain is expected to occur in a number of areas of Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh until December 17. In some areas, a two to three degree Celsius dip in temperature is also anticipated. In order to prevent turmoil, the meteorological agency has asked travelers to abide by the rules and be informed.

Light to moderate rain is expected in the coastal areas of numerous southern states, such as Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka. Additionally, there will be lightning and thunderstorms in these areas, which will cause problems. The meteorological service has instructed fisherman to stay away from bodies of water in the coming days.
