FactoryBlast – Two Dead, One Injured After Compressor Explosion in Ghaziabad Unit
According to police officials, the incident took place in the Link Road police station area around 6 pm. The blast occurred while workers were carrying out regular testing operations involving industrial equipment inside the factory premises. The sudden explosion created panic among employees working nearby and immediately disrupted activities inside the unit.
Workers Rushed to Hospitals After Explosion
Authorities identified the injured workers as Imran, 34, Tribhuvan, 38, and Banke, 25. All three suffered severe injuries due to the impact of the compressor blast and were taken to nearby hospitals for emergency treatment.
Police said Tribhuvan was admitted to Max Hospital, while Imran and Banke were shifted to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi for medical care. Despite treatment efforts by doctors, Imran later died at Safdarjung Hospital. Tribhuvan also succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Max Hospital.
Banke remains under medical supervision and is currently receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the accident. Officials have not yet shared details regarding his condition.
Police Begin Preliminary Investigation
Assistant Commissioner of Police Amit Saxena confirmed that police received information about the factory explosion shortly after the incident occurred. Law enforcement personnel reached the spot and began a preliminary inquiry into the circumstances that led to the blast.
Investigators are expected to examine whether safety procedures were properly followed during the testing process. Technical experts may also inspect the damaged equipment to determine the exact cause of the compressor failure.
At present, officials have not indicated whether negligence or equipment malfunction played a role in the accident. Police stated that further action will depend on the findings of the investigation.
Bodies Sent for Post-Mortem Examination
Police officials confirmed that the bodies of the deceased workers have been sent for post-mortem examination as part of the legal process. The reports are expected to help authorities understand the nature and severity of the injuries caused by the explosion.
Family members of the victims were informed following the incident, and local authorities are coordinating necessary procedures related to the case. The accident has once again raised concerns regarding industrial safety standards in manufacturing units operating in densely populated industrial areas.
No FIR Registered So Far
Officials said that no formal case has been registered in connection with the incident yet. Police are continuing to collect information from factory staff and management before deciding on further legal action.
