Crime Investigation – A violent confrontation between two groups in a village under the Chaprauli police station limits resulted in the death of a 27-year-old man, while another person suffered serious injuries. Authorities have detained one suspect for questioning as the investigation continues.
The incident occurred in Nangal village, where tensions between two sides reportedly escalated into a physical clash late in the day. During the altercation, Deepak, a resident of the same village, sustained severe injuries. Local residents alerted the police soon after the violence broke out.
Victim Declared Dead at Health Centre
Police teams reached the village immediately after receiving information about the incident and shifted the injured man to the Chaprauli Community Health Centre for medical treatment. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival. Officials later confirmed that a post-mortem examination would be conducted to determine the exact cause of death and gather additional evidence related to the case.
According to police sources, another individual involved in the clash was also injured during the confrontation. Medical assistance was provided, and his condition is currently being monitored.
Family Complaint Leads to Police Action
Following the incident, family members of the deceased lodged a formal complaint at the Chaprauli police station. Based on the complaint, police registered a criminal case and initiated legal proceedings against those allegedly involved in the violence.
Investigators have already taken one suspect into custody for questioning. Officials stated that further arrests could be made depending on the findings of the ongoing investigation and statements collected from witnesses present at the scene.
Security Tightened in the Village
Baraut Circle Officer Anshu Jain said that police personnel had been deployed in Nangal village as a precautionary measure to prevent any further disturbance or escalation of tensions between the two groups.
The officer added that the overall situation in the village remains under control and normalcy has been maintained. Authorities are continuing to monitor the area closely while collecting evidence connected to the clash.
