WasteManagement – Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday visited Delhi’s Bhalswa landfill site to assess the status of large-scale waste removal efforts being carried out through bio-mining and bio-remediation. The review focused on the disposal of accumulated legacy waste that has remained at the site for years and has long been a major environmental concern for nearby communities. During the inspection, officials briefed the minister on the pace of work and the measures being implemented to accelerate the cleanup process.
Time-Bound Plan for Complete Waste Removal
Speaking during the visit, the minister said the government has established a clear timeline to eliminate the landfill and is working intensively to meet the target. Meena, and other administrative officers. The team reviewed ongoing operations and discussed measures to maintain progress in the coming months.
