TempleConstruction – The reconstruction of a historic Rama temple in Akiveedu, located in West Godavari district, formally began on Sunday with a ceremonial foundation-laying event led by Deputy Speaker K Raghu Ramakrishna Raju.
The ceremony took place early in the morning, accompanied by traditional Vedic chants and devotional slogans, drawing a significant gathering of local residents and devotees. The Deputy Speaker attended the ritual along with his spouse, participating in the proceedings conducted by temple priests.

According to organizers, the auspicious time for the foundation ceremony was fixed at 7:14 am on May 3, following consultations with religious scholars. Priests overseeing the event emphasized that the selected muhurat was considered highly favorable and would be adhered to regardless of external challenges.
