For the first time, the state administration will deploy artificial intelligence-based systems to assist with crowd management during the Shrawani Mela in Deoghar, which is scheduled to begin on June 22. Officials have instructed law enforcement agencies to integrate modern technology into event operations to improve safety and streamline the movement of devotees.
According to officials familiar with the preparations, the AI-enabled system will provide continuous updates on crowd movement throughout the pilgrimage. The technology will help authorities monitor the number of visitors arriving at the venue, estimate the size of waiting lines, and assess the flow of devotees heading for worship.
