Rajya Sabha Elections in Jharkhand – Alliance Unity Remains Central Focus
Rajya Sabha Elections in Jharkhand – As political parties prepare for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections, discussions over candidate selection and alliance strategy have intensified in Jharkhand. The focus remains on maintaining political coordination among alliance partners while final decisions regarding seat allocation continue to be awaited.

JMM Workers Push for Contesting Both Seats
Jharkhand’s Tourism, Arts, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Sudivya Kumar stated that many party workers want the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) to field candidates for both Rajya Sabha seats from the state. He noted that grassroots members have expressed this demand strongly, but clarified that the final call on the matter will be taken by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
The minister’s remarks come at a time when political parties are actively assessing their electoral strategies ahead of the Upper House elections scheduled later this month.
INDIA Alliance Leaders Stress Continued Cooperation
Congress Legislature Party leader Pradeep Yadav emphasized the importance of maintaining unity within the INDIA alliance. According to him, cooperation among alliance partners is essential not only for Jharkhand but also for the broader national political landscape.
Yadav said the alliance’s solidarity would become evident during the election process. He added that any division among secular and opposition forces at such a critical stage could have implications extending beyond a single Rajya Sabha seat and may influence wider public perceptions across the country.
