Police have launched a detailed investigation following a complaint filed by her family, while efforts are continuing to trace her whereabouts.

Missing student tripura schoolgirl coaching

The incident was reported from the Palpara area under Thaibung Gram Panchayat, where the student left home at around 5:30 a.m. on July 30. According to her family, she was accompanied by another schoolgirl, and both had informed their guardians that they were going to attend a private study session. However, neither of them reached the coaching centre, leading to immediate concern among their families.

One Student Found at Railway Station

As relatives and local residents began searching for the girls, the guardian of one student managed to locate her at Sabroom railway station. She was reportedly found on a train shortly before the Agartala-Sealdah Kanchenjunga Express was due to leave the station. The girl was safely brought back before the train departed.

Despite the successful rescue of one student, the second schoolgirl has not yet been located. Her disappearance has intensified concern within the community, with family members continuing to appeal for information that could help authorities trace her.

Police Begin Detailed Investigation

After the missing student’s family approached Sabroom Police Station, officers registered the complaint and started an investigation into the case. Police are examining multiple aspects of the incident to establish how the student disappeared and whether anyone may have been involved.

Investigators are reviewing available evidence, including the girl’s recent movements and communication records. As part of the inquiry, police have also taken possession of a mobile phone provided by the family for forensic examination and further analysis.

Authorities Examine Possible Leads

According to preliminary findings, investigators are exploring the possibility that the student may have been persuaded to leave the area by someone known to her. Officials are examining reports suggesting she could have been taken outside the state after allegedly becoming involved in an online or personal relationship. However, police have not confirmed this theory and say all available leads are being verified before drawing any conclusions.

Authorities have also not announced any arrests in connection with the case. They have urged the public not to speculate while the investigation remains underway.

Concern Grows Across the Local Community

The disappearance has generated anxiety among residents of Palpara and nearby areas, where many people are closely following developments. Local residents have expressed hope that the student will be located safely and reunited with her family at the earliest.

Police teams continue to gather information from witnesses and are checking every possible clue that could assist in locating the missing girl. Officials have indicated that additional updates will be shared as the investigation progresses and more verified information becomes available.

Similar Incident Reported Earlier

The latest case has also brought attention to an earlier missing student incident reported in the Sabroom region. In March this year, a 12-year-old schoolgirl from the Damdamia Bhumihin Tila area, which falls under the jurisdiction of Sabroom Police Station, was reported missing for more than a week. That incident had also caused widespread concern among local residents before authorities continued their search efforts.

The current investigation remains active, with police pursuing every available lead in an effort to determine the circumstances behind the latest disappearance and ensure the student’s safe return.
