A Modern Facility Designed for Emerging Businesses

Spread across nearly 25,000 square feet, the upcoming centre has been developed using Pre-Engineered Building technology to ensure faster construction and long-term durability. The campus has been planned to meet the needs of modern entrepreneurs by offering a wide range of workspaces and professional facilities. These include a 200-seat auditorium, conference halls, collaborative work areas, private office cabins, idea pods, lounges, and breakout spaces for networking and discussions.

The building is also equipped with contemporary infrastructure such as twin elevators, high-speed internet connectivity, energy-efficient HVAC systems, provisions for rooftop solar power, and landscaped green surroundings to create a productive working environment.

Supporting the State’s Entrepreneurship Vision

The initiative reflects the Andhra Pradesh government’s broader objective of encouraging entrepreneurship at the grassroots level and inspiring young people to become business founders rather than job seekers. As part of this effort, the district administration is also reaching out to Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) with roots in Kadapa, inviting them to mentor aspiring entrepreneurs and contribute their expertise to the local startup ecosystem.

Officials believe that guidance from experienced professionals and industry leaders can help new ventures overcome early-stage challenges while improving access to business opportunities and investment networks.

Corporate Participation and Future Collaboration

The project has received valuable support from the corporate sector. Shirdi Sai Electricals has contributed Rs 4 crore towards the development of the centre, while Adani and UCL have also extended assistance for the initiative. These partnerships have helped accelerate the creation of a facility that is expected to become a key destination for innovation in the district.

In addition, the centre is planned to be connected with the proposed Ratan Tata Innovation Hub in Amaravati. Discussions regarding this collaboration are already in progress, with the aim of creating stronger links between entrepreneurs, investors, and innovation-focused institutions across Andhra Pradesh.

Ambitious Goals for Economic Growth

Startup Kadapa has outlined a series of long-term objectives to strengthen the local economy through entrepreneurship. The programme aims to create more than 500 employment opportunities while attracting investments exceeding Rs 500 crore. It also plans to incubate over 50 startups, with at least 30 percent expected to be founded or led by women entrepreneurs.

Beyond startup incubation, the initiative seeks to engage nearly 15,000 people through awareness programmes, mentoring sessions, training workshops, and entrepreneurship-related activities designed to encourage innovation across different sections of society.

Administration Expresses Confidence

District Collector Dr. Sridhar Cherukuri described the entrepreneurship centre as a platform that can transform the aspirations of young innovators into successful ventures. According to him, the facility is expected to become an important driver of innovation, economic development, and employment generation while strengthening Kadapa’s position as an emerging destination for business and technology in Andhra Pradesh.
