IAS Transfers – Madhya Pradesh Government Announces Major Administrative Reshuffle Across Key Departments

IAS Transfers – The Madhya Pradesh government has implemented a significant administrative reshuffle involving senior IAS officers, introducing a series of departmental changes and district-level appointments aimed at strengthening governance across the state.

The Madhya Pradesh government, headed by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, approved a large-scale transfer and posting exercise for 20 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers on Friday. The changes affect several senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners, Secretaries, and District Collectors. The General Administration Department issued the official transfer order late in the evening, outlining new responsibilities for officers across multiple departments.

Senior Officials Assigned New Responsibilities

Among the prominent appointments, 1995-batch IAS officer Sachin Sinha has been named Additional Chief Secretary of the Public Health and Medical Education Department. He previously served as Director General of the RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration and Management in Bhopal.

K.C. Gupta, a 1992-batch officer, will continue as Agriculture Production Commissioner while also taking charge of the Horticulture and Food Processing Department. Earlier, he was serving as Additional Chief Secretary of the Cottage and Rural Industries Department.

Rajendra Kumar Singh, a 1997-batch IAS officer, has been shifted from the Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Department to the Forest Department as Principal Secretary. He will also continue handling the additional responsibility of the Anand Department.

Changes Across Key Government Departments

Sandeep Yadav, belonging to the 2000 batch, has been transferred to the Water Resources Department after serving in the Forest Department. He will continue to oversee matters related to the NRI portfolio.

John Kingsley I.R., a 2004-batch officer, has been appointed Secretary of the Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Department along with the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department.

Dr. Sudam P. Khade, who served as Commissioner of the Indore Division, has been posted as Secretary to the Chief Minister. Meanwhile, Bhaskar Lakshakar has taken over as the new Commissioner of the Indore Division after previously serving as Commissioner-cum-Director of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department.

District Collectors Receive Fresh Postings

The reshuffle also includes several important district-level appointments. Ajay Katesariya has been appointed Collector of Ratlam, while Rtankar Jha has been posted as Collector of Anuppur. Misha Singh will now serve as Collector of Shahdol, Divyank Singh has been assigned Mandsaur, Sher Singh Meena has been posted to Agar Malwa, and Guru Prasad has been appointed Collector of Khargone.

Kedar Singh, who was previously serving as Collector of Shahdol, has been transferred to the Public Works Department as Additional Secretary.

New Appointments in Administrative and Development Bodies

Harshal Pancholi has been appointed Executive Director of EPCO in Bhopal. Aditi Garg has been assigned the role of Development Commissioner in the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department while also taking additional charge as Deputy Secretary.

Preeti Yadav has been posted as Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation in Indore. Siddharth Jain has joined the Chief Secretary’s Office as Deputy Secretary, while Himanshu Prajapati has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat in Indore.

Additional Charges Given to Senior Bureaucrats

Apart from the transfers, the government has also entrusted several senior officers with additional responsibilities. Additional Chief Secretary Neeraj Mandloi will oversee the Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Department along with the MSME Department in addition to his existing responsibilities.

Principal Secretary Manish Singh has been assigned the additional charge of the Energy Department. Likewise, Principal Secretary E. Ramesh Kumar will now also supervise the Narmada Valley Development Department and its associated organizations.

The latest administrative exercise reflects the state government’s effort to reorganize key departments and administrative leadership to improve coordination, departmental functioning, and the delivery of public services across Madhya Pradesh.
