Hyderabad: A automobile crashes into a tree close to killing four students

Hyderabad: Birthday festivities took a terrible turn on Thursday morning when an SUV carrying four students crashed into a tree close to Hyderabad, killing them and seriously injuring another, according to authorities.

The accident happened in Mokila, Rangareddy district, close to Mirzapur.

The group of students was traveling back to Hyderabad from Mokila after one of the deceased’s birthdays, according to the police.

While the fourth student was enrolled at MGIT, the other three were BBA students at ICFAI Business School (IBS) in Mokila.

Surya Teja (20), Sri Nikhil (20), Rohit (18), and Sumeet (20) have been identified as the dead. Sumeet was operating the SUV, according to the police. He had a birthday.

Surya Teja was a second-year BBA student at ICFAI Business School, while Sumeet and Nikhil were third-year students. Rohit attended MGIT as a student.

At tremendous speed, the car crashed into the tree. While the fifth person suffered severe injuries, the other four perished instantly. The victim has been identified as Nakshatra, an ICFAI Business School third-year BBA student. The 20-year-old’s health is described as serious after she was brought to a hospital.

The crash severely damaged the SUV. Police were attempting to determine if the driver was intoxicated when the collision occurred.

For a post-mortem examination, the remains were sent to a government hospital in Chevella. Police opened a case and began looking at it further.

Similar incidents have occurred recently in Hyderabad and its surroundings when students on vacation or celebrating their birthdays crashed their automobiles into other cars, trees beside the road, or electricity poles.

Police in the commissionerates of Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda have been actively combating drunk driving, particularly at night.
