Governance – Gujarat BJP Launches Statewide Outreach Marking Modi’s 12-Year Tenure
Governance – Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday formally launched a large-scale public outreach campaign at the Bharatiya Janata Party’s state headquarters in Gandhinagar. The campaign, titled “12 Years of Trust, Development, and Public Welfare,” aims to highlight the achievements of the central government during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s twelve consecutive years in office.

Campaign Focuses on Governance Achievements
The statewide programme has been designed as a multi-day initiative to showcase key policy decisions, welfare measures, and development projects implemented under the Prime Minister’s leadership. The campaign also commemorates Modi becoming the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in the country’s history after completing 12 uninterrupted years in office.
Speaking at the inaugural event, Chief Minister Patel praised the government’s efforts toward social inclusion and economic empowerment. He stated that the administration has consistently focused on improving the lives of disadvantaged communities and ensuring that development reaches every section of society.
Emphasis on Welfare and Poverty Reduction
Patel said the government has worked to bring economically weaker and socially marginalised groups into the mainstream of progress. According to him, several welfare programmes launched during the past decade have helped improve living standards across the country.
He noted that the implementation of various public welfare schemes has played a significant role in reducing poverty. Referring to official figures, Patel said that nearly 25 crore people have moved out of poverty during the last twelve years due to targeted government initiatives and support programmes.
Development and Cultural Heritage Highlighted
The Chief Minister also spoke about the government’s approach of balancing economic growth with the preservation of cultural heritage. He said the past decade has witnessed progress in multiple sectors while maintaining a strong connection to the nation’s traditions and values.
According to Patel, the concept of pursuing development alongside heritage conservation has contributed to a broader transformation across the country. He expressed confidence that citizens would continue to support the government’s governance model and development agenda in the years ahead.
Gujarat’s Growth Story Under Modi’s Guidance
Highlighting Gujarat’s progress, Patel said the state has emerged as a prominent example of modern development. He pointed to advancements in infrastructure, industrial expansion, and investment-driven growth as key indicators of Gujarat’s transformation.
The Chief Minister stated that several world-class projects have been completed in the state over the years, helping strengthen Gujarat’s position as an important economic and industrial hub. He credited the guidance and vision of Prime Minister Modi for contributing to the state’s continued development trajectory.
Leaders Remember Vijay Rupani
During the event, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, and other BJP leaders also paid tribute to former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. The leaders remembered his contribution to public service and party organisation.
Rupani lost his life in the Air India AI-171 aircraft crash in 2025. Those present at the programme observed the occasion with respect and recalled his role in Gujarat’s political and administrative journey.
