Gandhi : Playing into foreign hands BJP criticizes LoP for comments on China’s industrial progress
Gandhi: Following Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi’s comments on China and India’s industrial progress, a bitter political spat broke out on Wednesday. Senior BJP leaders accused Gandhi of harming national interests and repeating narratives that were favorable to foreign powers.

Following LoP Gandhi’s speech at a school ceremony in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday, when he discussed children’s futures and India’s economic prosperity via industrial development, the issue broke out.
While India has done well in the IT industry, LoP Rahul Gandhi emphasized that during the last 11 years, manufacturing, especially in the small-scale sector, has fallen short of its promise. LoP Gandhi also emphasized the need for a mental change to support indigenous manufacturing by pointing out that many everyday products, including cameras and microphones, are imported from China.
BJP Delhi President Virendra Sachdeva responded angrily to this on Wednesday, accusing LoP Gandhi of continuously harming India’s reputation.
“Rahul Gandhi travels overseas and gives in to foreign powers.” I would want to make a statement about individuals who work for the nation’s adversaries. “Every Indian is aware of Rahul Gandhi’s seriousness,” Sachdeva said.
Yaser Jilani, a leader of the BJP, also questioned the Congressman’s attention. Will Rahul Gandhi discuss India at any point? In the eyes of the whole globe, India is becoming a powerful force. It has a sizable workforce, a sizable market, and a robust production capability. Rahul Gandhi would benefit more if he discussed these facets of India, according to Jilani.
BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri joined the criticism, attributing the MP’s remarks to a “historical pattern” inside the Congress leadership.
They have this in their DNA. Even their grandpa said that when Sardar Patel warned that China was invading our territory, he brushed it off, stating that because there isn’t even grass there, there’s no need to sacrifice our young for it. Bidhuri said that hundreds of square kilometers of land were therefore given to China.
“This is a reflection of their long-standing attitude of opposition and betrayal of national interests,” he said. Nothing new has been mentioned by Rahul Gandhi. This way of thinking has persisted from the time of his grandpa.
V. Gurunadham, vice president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee, defended Rahul Gandhi, saying the leader was emphasizing the need for India to have more robust manufacturing skills.
“Rahul Gandhi visited Tamil Nadu yesterday for a school function and gave a speech on the future of children and boosting India’s economic growth through industrial development,” Gurunadham said.
He continued by saying that Gandhi cited China’s quick industrial and technical advancements, such as the production of airplanes, while pointing out that India still lags behind in terms of large-scale industrial development and that, as a result, the country’s manufacturing capabilities needed to be strengthened.
