Employment – Andhra Pradesh Job Fair to Offer Over 100 Roles for Youth

Employment –  The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has announced a dedicated job fair aimed at expanding employment prospects for young people and job seekers in the state’s capital region.

Andhra job fair 100 roles

The event is scheduled to take place on May 4 at the Community Hall located in Navuluru–Makkevaripeta. The initiative focuses on connecting unemployed individuals with companies offering jobs, internships, and apprenticeship roles.

Initiative Focused on Local Employment Growth

The job fair is being organised under the direction of the state’s Municipal Administration and Urban Development leadership, with a clear objective of strengthening livelihood opportunities within the region. Authorities have emphasized that such initiatives are part of broader efforts to create accessible employment platforms for local communities.

By bringing companies and candidates together in one place, the programme aims to simplify the hiring process while ensuring that eligible individuals can explore multiple career options without having to travel far.

Collaboration with Private Sector

The recruitment drive is being conducted in partnership with Flipkart, which will be offering positions at its operational facilities near Vijayawada. The available roles primarily fall within the packing and scanning departments, catering to the logistics and supply chain needs of the company.

Organisers have clarified that both male and female candidates can participate in the recruitment process. Applicants must have completed at least Class 10 to be eligible for consideration. Work schedules have been structured separately for men and women to ensure smooth operations at the workplace.

Salary and Benefits for Selected Candidates

Candidates who secure positions through the job fair can expect monthly salaries ranging between Rs 13,000 and Rs 15,000. In addition to the basic pay, selected individuals will also receive benefits such as Provident Fund (PF) and Employees’ State Insurance (ESI), which provide financial security and healthcare support.

Officials noted that these benefits are intended to ensure stability and long-term support for employees entering the workforce, particularly those beginning their careers.

Internship Opportunities for Young Applicants

Apart from regular employment, the event will also feature internship programmes aimed at individuals aged between 18 and 22 years. These internships will offer a monthly stipend of Rs 15,100 and will typically last between two to six months.

Participants who perform well during the internship period may be considered for permanent positions, offering them a pathway to stable employment. This approach is designed to help young candidates gain practical experience while improving their chances of securing long-term roles.

Apprenticeship Programmes with Career Prospects

The job fair will also include apprenticeship opportunities for candidates who have completed higher levels of education, including Intermediate, Diploma, Degree, or B.Tech qualifications. These roles will also provide a stipend of Rs 15,100 per month.

Authorities have indicated that apprentices who demonstrate strong performance may be offered full-time employment opportunities. This structure aims to bridge the gap between education and industry by giving candidates hands-on experience in a professional setting.

Event Details and Participation

According to officials, more than 100 vacancies are expected to be filled through this recruitment drive. The job fair will be held from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on May 4, allowing candidates ample time to complete the application and interview process.

Interested individuals are encouraged to contact their local APCRDA facilitators for guidance. Additional information can also be obtained through a dedicated WhatsApp number provided by the organisers.

The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to support employment generation in the region while offering structured career opportunities for youth and job seekers.
