Elections – Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leader K.A. Sengottaiyan officially submitted his nomination papers from the Gobichettipalayam constituency on Monday, marking a significant step in the party’s preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections.
Speaking to reporters shortly after filing his nomination, Sengottaiyan expressed strong confidence in his party’s prospects. He stated that the current political climate in Tamil Nadu is shifting and suggested that voters are looking for an alternative to existing power structures. Strong Criticism of Rival Alliances
During his interaction with the media, Sengottaiyan was critical of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), claiming that supporting the alliance would not bring meaningful change. He emphasized that only his party has the potential to effectively counter the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).
He also highlighted actor-turned-politician Vijay as a central figure in the party’s vision.
