Tvk sengottaiyan files nomination

Speaking to reporters shortly after filing his nomination, Sengottaiyan expressed strong confidence in his party’s prospects. He stated that the current political climate in Tamil Nadu is shifting and suggested that voters are looking for an alternative to existing power structures. According to him, his party is positioning itself as a viable force capable of challenging established players.

Strong Criticism of Rival Alliances

During his interaction with the media, Sengottaiyan was critical of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), claiming that supporting the alliance would not bring meaningful change. He emphasized that only his party has the potential to effectively counter the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).

He also highlighted actor-turned-politician Vijay as a central figure in the party’s vision. Sengottaiyan described Vijay as a promising leader who represents the aspirations of many people in the state. He expressed confidence that the party would perform strongly in the upcoming elections and suggested that a political transformation in Tamil Nadu is inevitable.

Confidence in Local Support

Focusing on his own constituency, Sengottaiyan conveyed optimism about receiving strong backing from voters in Gobichettipalayam. He spoke about his long-standing relationship with the people of the area, noting that there is mutual trust and respect.

He remarked that public support would ultimately determine the outcome, adding that the people’s decision should be accepted as final. His comments reflected a confident yet measured tone as he prepares for the electoral contest.

Response to AIADMK Leadership Remarks

Sengottaiyan also responded to earlier remarks made by AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS), who had expressed confidence about celebrating victory in Gobichettipalayam after the elections. Addressing this, Sengottaiyan suggested that EPS should first secure a win in his own constituency before making broader claims.

He pointed out that his party has fielded a strong candidate in the region, indicating that the contest is expected to be competitive. His response underscored the intensifying political rivalry as parties prepare for the elections.

Campaign Activities and Public Outreach

Before filing his nomination, Sengottaiyan participated in a rally along with his supporters. As part of his campaign activities, he paid tribute to prominent leaders by garlanding statues of Periyar and M.G. Ramachandran (MGR), reflecting an effort to connect with the ideological and cultural sentiments of voters.

In addition to his activities in Gobichettipalayam, Sengottaiyan also addressed the media in Tiruppur. He appeared alongside other party candidates, including V. Sathyabama from Tiruppur North and Balamurugan from Tiruppur South. The joint appearance highlighted coordinated campaign efforts across constituencies.

Political Landscape Ahead of Elections

With nomination filings underway, political activity in Tamil Nadu is gaining momentum. Parties are intensifying their campaigns, focusing on both local issues and broader state-level narratives. Sengottaiyan’s statements indicate that TVK is aiming to position itself as a key contender in the evolving political landscape.

As the election approaches, the focus is expected to remain on candidate credibility, party vision, and voter engagement. Gobichettipalayam, in particular, is likely to witness a closely watched contest given the involvement of prominent political figures and strong campaign rhetoric from multiple sides.
