Culture – Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday remembered Nobel Prize-winning poet Rabindranath Tagore on the occasion of his birth anniversary, praising his lasting contribution to India’s cultural and intellectual identity.

Sarma said Tagore’s ideas and literary works played a significant role in shaping the country’s moral and cultural foundation, while also earning admiration far beyond India’s borders. The Assam leader shared his tribute through a post on X, where he highlighted the poet’s continuing relevance in modern society.
