Cybercrime –Bhojpuri actress Anjana Singh has approached the Cyber Crime Wing in Lucknow after alleging that manipulated images and videos created using artificial intelligence have been circulated on social media. According to her complaint, the content targets both her and her 11-year-old daughter, prompting her to seek legal action against those responsible.
Allegations of AI-Generated Content Circulating Online
Speaking to ANI, Anjana Singh said objectionable AI-generated photographs and videos featuring her and her daughter have been shared across online platforms over the past several days. She alleged that the material contains offensive content and has been accompanied by abusive language and threatening messages.
The actress expressed concern over the impact of such content, stating that the circulation of manipulated media has caused distress to her family. She urged authorities to identify those behind the alleged campaign and prevent the further spread of the material.
Claims Against Individuals Associated With Bhojpuri Actor’s Team
In her statement, Anjana Singh alleged that certain individuals linked to Bhojpuri singer and actor Khesari Lal Yadav’s team were involved in the creation and distribution of the disputed content. She specifically named Akhilesh Kashyap, whom she described as Khesari Lal Yadav’s manager, claiming that he played a role in producing and promoting material directed at her.
The actress further alleged that songs targeting her and her daughter were also created and circulated. These allegations have been included in the First Information Report (FIR) submitted to the authorities for investigation.
Actress Alleges Threats and Intimidation
Apart from raising concerns about the alleged AI-generated content, Anjana Singh also claimed that she has received threats from certain individuals. According to her, she was warned against visiting Lucknow and was subjected to intimidating messages.
She said the threats, combined with the circulation of morphed media, formed part of a coordinated effort to harass and defame her on social media. The complaint reportedly seeks action against everyone found responsible for the alleged acts.
FIR Filed With Cyber Crime Wing in Lucknow
As stated in the FIR, the actress accused unidentified individuals of carrying out a planned campaign involving the publication of obscene and morphed images, circulation of offensive material, and issuance of criminal threats through social media platforms.
The complaint has been registered with the Cyber Crime Wing at Hazratganj in Lucknow. Authorities are expected to examine the allegations and determine whether offences under relevant cybercrime and criminal laws have been committed.
Actress Expresses Confidence in Investigation
Anjana Singh said she has faith in the Uttar Pradesh government and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, expressing confidence that the authorities will conduct a fair investigation. She stated that she expects those responsible for the alleged circulation of the AI-generated content and threats to be identified and appropriate legal action to follow.
As of now, there has been no public response from Khesari Lal Yadav or members of his team regarding the allegations made in the FIR. The matter remains under legal consideration, and further developments are expected after the investigation progresses.
