Saiee Manjrekar Talks About Her Acting Journey

Speaking about her professional outlook, Saiee explained that she wants to give herself enough time to mature as an artist rather than rushing behind commercially popular trends. According to her, long-term success depends on selecting projects that contribute to personal and creative development.

She said that every film should help her improve as a performer and broaden her understanding of acting. Saiee also noted that moving at her own pace allows her to stay connected to the craft instead of being influenced by short-lived popularity.

The actor added that she values authenticity in storytelling and believes audiences eventually connect with performances that come from sincerity and emotional depth.

Excitement Around Historical Drama ‘India House’

Saiee will next appear in the upcoming film “India House,” a large-scale period drama set during the pre-independence era. The project marks actor Ram Charan’s debut as a producer and is being filmed simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu languages.

The film is designed on an expansive scale and explores a historical narrative connected to India’s past. Saiee had earlier spoken about the unique experience of working in a setting inspired by a completely different era.

According to the actress, period films demand a different level of observation and preparation because every detail on set reflects another time in history. From costumes and language to social behaviour and emotional expression, she believes such projects require actors to fully immerse themselves in the world being created.

Learning Through Different Time Periods

Saiee shared that working on “India House” has been an enriching experience because the environment naturally influences the performance. She explained that the costumes, art direction, and cultural details help actors remain connected to the character’s emotional reality.

The actress mentioned that understanding how people communicated and reacted during earlier decades has helped her develop a deeper perspective on performance. She described the process as both educational and creatively fulfilling.

Saiee also said that historical dramas encourage actors to slow down and pay closer attention to human behaviour, making the overall experience very different from contemporary films.

Continuing Her Career Across Multiple Film Industries

The actress, who is the daughter of filmmaker and actor Mahesh Manjrekar, began her screen journey with a small role in the Marathi film “Kaksparsh” in 2012. Over the years, she has steadily expanded her presence across Hindi and South Indian cinema.

She was most recently seen in the Telugu action drama “Arjun Son Of Vyjayanthi,” directed by Pradeep Chilukuri. The film featured Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and veteran actor Vijayashanti in lead roles, along with Saiee Manjrekar, Sohail Khan, Babloo Prithiveeraj, Srikanth, and R. Sarathkumar.

The movie is considered a spiritual follow-up to the 1990 film “Karthavyam,” with Vijayashanti returning to portray the same character, this time as the mother of Kalyan Ram’s role.

As Saiee continues to explore different genres and industries, the actor appears focused on building a career shaped by thoughtful storytelling and steady artistic growth rather than immediate popularity.
