Cinema – Priyanka Chopra Jonas is set to share screen space with Orlando Bloom in a new survival thriller titled Reset, a film that is expected to begin production in August. The project will be directed by filmmaker Matt Smukler, known for his earlier work on the coming-of-age drama Wildflower.
Story Revolves Around Mystery and Survival
The upcoming film centers on a woman who suddenly regains consciousness in a remote wilderness far away from civilization. With no memory of how she arrived there, she must rely on a stranger for survival while struggling to determine whether he can truly be trusted.
According to the filmmakers, the story combines emotional tension, suspense, and psychological uncertainty. The narrative is designed to keep audiences questioning the motives of its central characters throughout the film.
Director Matt Smukler explained that the lead casting was carefully considered to capture both emotional attraction and suspicion within the same relationship dynamic. He noted that Priyanka Chopra and Orlando Bloom naturally bring that balance to the screen, adding that their on-screen chemistry made them ideal choices for the project.
Production Team Backing the Project
The screenplay for Reset has been written by Jordan Rawlins. The film is being produced by Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber under the Fratricidal Films banner, along with Michael Lazarovitch for Chemically Altered and Matthew Rhodes of Rhodes Entertainment.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ production company Purple Pebble Pictures and Orlando Bloom’s Amazing Owl banner are also attached to the project as production partners.
International financing and sales responsibilities are being handled by Fortitude International, which is expected to introduce the project to global buyers during the Marché du Film event in Cannes.
Producers Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber described the film as an intense mix of survival drama, romance, and deception. They also highlighted the script’s unpredictable twists and said the team is enthusiastic about bringing the story to audiences with Priyanka Chopra and Orlando Bloom leading the cast.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas continues to strengthen her international film portfolio with several high-profile projects. She was recently seen in The Bluff and previously appeared alongside Idris Elba and John Cena in Heads of State, which performed strongly on streaming platforms.
The actress is also preparing for the second season of the action series Citadel. In addition, she is attached to Varanasi, an upcoming action-adventure feature associated with filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli.
Orlando Bloom Continues Busy Film Schedule
