The actor shared his reflections on social media, remembering the experience of working on the intense drama alongside Manisha Koirala. To commemorate the milestone, he posted a short video montage on his Instagram Stories featuring scenes from the film, its official poster, and moments with his co-star. The clip was accompanied by the song Kehte Hai Jisko, adding a nostalgic touch to the tribute. He captioned the post with a simple note marking 25 years of Grahan.

A Film Centered on Justice and Moral Conflict

Directed by Shashilal K. Nair, Grahan brought together Jackie Shroff, Manisha Koirala and Raghuvaran in a story built around crime, justice and personal accountability. The film follows Parvati, a woman seeking justice after surviving sexual assault. As the legal battle unfolds, the narrative reveals the emotional and procedural complexities that surround such cases.

At the heart of the story is Sanjay, a man accused of rape. His defense lawyer, Jaggan, initially succeeds in securing his acquittal. However, as events take a dramatic turn, the lawyer discovers that his client was indeed guilty. Confronted with this truth, Jaggan chooses to reopen the case, placing morality above professional success. The film explored themes that were considered bold for its time, focusing on legal ethics and the struggle for justice.

Social Media as a Space for Reflection

Jackie Shroff has consistently used social media to revisit key moments from his long career. Whether celebrating film anniversaries or remembering industry veterans, the actor often shares personal tributes that resonate with fans across generations. His posts typically highlight gratitude and respect for colleagues who shaped his journey in cinema.

Earlier this month, he also paid tribute to the late actor Pran on his 106th birth anniversary. In the caption, he acknowledged the veteran star’s birth and death dates, offering a quiet mark of respect.

Remembering a Legendary Career

Pran remains one of the most respected figures in Indian cinema. Over a career that spanned more than six decades, he built a reputation for portraying memorable antagonists and character roles. At the height of his career, he was counted among the highest-paid actors in the industry. His contribution to Hindi cinema continues to be remembered by colleagues and audiences alike.

Jackie’s tribute highlighted the enduring influence of artists like Pran, whose performances shaped several generations of filmmakers and actors.

Looking Ahead to a New Ensemble Project

While reflecting on past milestones, Jackie Shroff is also preparing for his next screen appearance. He will be seen in the upcoming comedy Welcome To The Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan. The film features an extensive ensemble cast, including Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Shreyas Talpade, Aftab Shivdasani, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav and several others.

The project has generated interest for its large lineup of established actors and comic performers. As production progresses, audiences are expected to see Jackie in a lighter role compared to the intense characters that defined some of his earlier films.

For now, however, the actor’s focus remains on celebrating the enduring impact of Grahan, a film that continues to be remembered for its serious subject matter and layered storytelling. By marking 25 years of the drama, Jackie Shroff once again connected with fans who have followed his cinematic journey over decades.
