Anshula Kapoor – Bollywood wedding celebrations have begun for Anshula Kapoor and her fiancé Rohan Thakkar, with the couple recently hosting a Mata Ki Chowki attended by family members and close friends. The intimate religious gathering marked an early step in the preparations for their upcoming wedding in Mumbai.
Wedding Festivities Begin With Mata Ki Chowki
Anshula Kapoor shared a warm behind-the-scenes moment from the ceremony on social media. In a video posted from the event, Rohan Thakkar can be seen taking photographs of his fiancée while she poses in her traditional outfit.
The clip shows Anshula seated as members of her photography team record the occasion. Rohan, however, stands out among them as he uses his phone to capture pictures of her during the celebrations. Sharing the video, Anshula wrote that despite having a full team of photographers around her, he remained her favourite person behind the camera.
Family Members Join the Pre-Wedding Ceremony
The Mata Ki Chowki was held as part of the couple’s pre-wedding rituals. On June 21, Maheep Kapoor gave followers a glimpse of the event through a collection of photos and videos shared on her social media account.
Her post carried the message, “Shaadi begins,” along with a reference to the religious occasion. The images showed the Kapoor family coming together for the ceremony, which was conducted in a traditional setting.
Several relatives and friends were present at the gathering. The shared photographs featured Anshula Kapoor with her brother Arjun Kapoor, along with Shanaya Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor, among others.
Couple Takes Part in Traditional Rituals
Videos from the Mata Ki Chowki showed Anshula and Rohan participating in the prayers together. The couple was seen offering prayers before an idol and framed image of Mata Rani as part of the ceremony.
They also performed aarti and sought blessings from elders in attendance. The event reflected the family’s focus on beginning the wedding celebrations with religious customs and close family participation.
The ceremony has added to the anticipation around Anshula Kapoor’s wedding, which is expected to take place soon. While the family has not publicly announced full wedding details, reports suggest that Anshula and Rohan may get married in Mumbai during the first week of July.
Wedding Preparations Continue Ahead of Mumbai Ceremony
In recent weeks, Anshula had also been seen travelling with Arjun Kapoor while preparing for the wedding. Their outings were linked to bridal shopping and other arrangements connected with the celebrations.
The couple’s wedding journey has unfolded gradually over the past year. Reports had earlier stated that Anshula hosted a God Dhana-style pre-wedding family gathering around October last year.
Rohan Thakkar reportedly proposed to Anshula Kapoor in July 2025 during a holiday together. The pair later shared news of their engagement publicly, receiving congratulatory messages from friends, fans and members of the film industry.
With the Mata Ki Chowki now completed, the Kapoor family’s wedding celebrations appear to be moving into their next phase. More traditional functions are expected to follow as Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar prepare for their marriage.
