The Karnataka government has announced plans to establish two specialized working groups in collaboration with the Centre for e-Governance and the Home Department to identify high-priority applications of artificial intelligence. The decision was shared by Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge after a meeting with representatives of AI company Anthropic at its Bengaluru office. The discussions focused on how emerging AI technologies can be used responsibly to improve governance while supporting the state’s growing technology ecosystem.
Focus on Practical AI Applications
According to the minister, the newly proposed working groups will evaluate specific areas where artificial intelligence can make government operations more efficient and citizen-focused.
