Elections in Bihar
To choose all 243 members of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, the Bihar State General Election will be held in two stages, the first on November 6 and the second on November 11, 2025. On November 14, the results will be announced and the votes counted.

The Election Commission estimates that over 7.43 crore people will vote in over 90,000 polling places. Each constituency has been assigned a general observer, and each polling place will be televised to guarantee security and transparency.

The Mahagathbandhan coalition, which consists of the RJD and Congress, and the governing National Democratic coalition (NDA), which is headed by the JD(U) and the BJP, are anticipated to engage in a fierce election battle.

While Tejashwi Yadav of the RJD leads the opposition drive and promises a new vision for Bihar’s youth and development, former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is running for a record tenth term.

The new party of political strategist Prashant Kishor, Jan Suraaj, is running for every seat, which might change customary alliances and voting patterns.
