Rahul Gandhi Demands Minister’s Resignation
In a post shared on X, Rahul Gandhi said students across the country were demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. He argued that the Prime Minister’s video message failed to address the concerns being raised by students and instead urged the government to take direct action.
The Congress leader called on the Centre to remove the Education Minister from office, take action against those accused of using force against protesting students, and issue a public apology. According to Gandhi, these steps were necessary to restore confidence among young aspirants affected by repeated examination controversies.
Prime Minister Announces Legislative Action
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi stated that the government was preparing comprehensive legal measures to curb paper leak incidents. In his video address, he said the proposed legislation would include stringent provisions designed to deter those responsible for leaking examination papers and manipulating recruitment or entrance examinations.
