Family disputes suicide claim
The deceased lineman’s brother, Anurag, questioned the circumstances surrounding his death and rejected claims that it was a suicide. Speaking to ANI, he said the vehicle was being reversed when the child was allegedly run over.
He said that while the accident was unfortunate, it did not justify violence against the driver. Anurag alleged that his brother was locked inside a room and assaulted before his death.
The family has also accused certain officials and residents of nearby quarters of being involved in the alleged assault. They have demanded a proper investigation into the incident and action against those responsible.

After news of the lineman’s death spread, people gathered at Beur Mor and blocked the road. The protest affected traffic in the area, while some reports also indicated incidents of arson during the unrest.
