Security Alert – Gujarat Agencies Intensify Probe After Multiple Bomb Threat Emails
Security Alert – Authorities across Gujarat launched a coordinated security operation on Wednesday after several government and organizational offices received emails claiming that explosive devices had been planted at key locations.

A major security alert was issued in Gujarat after threatening emails were sent to the Chief Minister’s Office in Gandhinagar, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), and an office of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The messages prompted immediate action from law enforcement agencies, with bomb disposal experts and security personnel deployed to conduct extensive checks at the affected premises.
Threat Messages Trigger Immediate Response
According to officials, the email received by the Chief Minister’s Office mentioned a possible explosion at 1:11 p.m. Shortly afterward, similar messages were delivered to the AMC headquarters located in Ahmedabad’s Danapith area and to an RSS office. The emails referred to separate times for the alleged incidents, mentioning 3:11 p.m. and 5:11 p.m. respectively.
Authorities treated the warnings with utmost seriousness and activated emergency security protocols without delay. Multiple police teams were assigned to assess the situation and ensure public safety.
Security Measures Strengthened Across Key Locations
Following the alerts, security arrangements were reinforced at government establishments and other sensitive sites in both Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. Bomb detection squads and trained canine units carried out detailed inspections of buildings and surrounding areas.
As a precaution, the AMC headquarters was temporarily evacuated while security personnel conducted a thorough search of the premises. Officials inspected offices, entry points, parking areas, and nearby surroundings to rule out any potential threat.
References in Emails Under Examination
Investigators revealed that the emails contained references to Khalistan, Operation Blue Star, and Operation Woodrose. Security agencies are examining these mentions as part of the broader investigation to determine the intent behind the messages.
Preliminary findings indicate that the emails were sent from different accounts. Cybercrime experts have joined the investigation to identify the origin of the communications and establish whether they were part of a coordinated operation.
Cyber Teams Tracking Digital Footprints
Specialized technical teams are using digital forensics and surveillance tools to trace the email accounts and IP addresses associated with the threats. Officials are also studying communication patterns and other electronic evidence that may help identify those responsible.
Investigators have not ruled out the possibility that multiple individuals could be involved. Authorities are examining all available leads while coordinating with relevant agencies to verify the source of the messages.
Government Confirms Ongoing Inquiry
State Minister Pravin Mali confirmed that an investigation began immediately after the threatening email reached the Chief Minister’s Office at the Secretariat. He stated that similar emails have been received on previous occasions and suggested that the latest incident may involve individuals acting together.
Mali also remarked that certain elements seek to create unrest despite the prevailing atmosphere of peace. However, officials emphasized that the investigation remains focused on gathering evidence and identifying those behind the threats.
Public Asked to Remain Vigilant
Officials noted that several bomb threat emails received in the past were ultimately found to be false alarms. Nevertheless, every such warning is examined carefully to eliminate any potential risk and ensure public safety.
Authorities have appealed to residents not to spread unverified information and to immediately inform police if they notice any suspicious object, activity, or behavior. Security agencies continue to maintain heightened surveillance while efforts remain underway to trace the individuals responsible for sending the emails.
