Education – CBSE Re-Evaluation Portal Faces Continued Access Issues for Students
Education – Students seeking a review of their Class 12 examination results continued to encounter difficulties on the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) re-evaluation portal on Wednesday. While the board reported that a large number of applications had been successfully received, many candidates and parents claimed they were unable to complete the process because of recurring technical problems.

Several users reported trouble accessing their accounts and submitting requests through the online system. Complaints surfaced throughout the day as students described repeated login failures and error messages appearing during the application process.
Students Report Repeated Errors
A number of affected students shared their experiences on social media platforms, highlighting the challenges they faced while attempting to apply for re-evaluation. One student stated that after spending several hours carefully completing the application form and entering all required details, the system repeatedly displayed an error message whenever the final submission button was clicked.
Others reported being unable to log into the portal despite entering what they believed were correct credentials. These complaints quickly gained attention online, with many students requesting assistance and clarification regarding the application process.
Growing Concern Among Families
As technical issues persisted, concerns grew among parents and guardians who feared that delays in the re-evaluation process could affect important academic schedules. Some families expressed worry that prolonged uncertainty was increasing stress levels among students already dealing with examination-related pressure.
Many users continued to post complaints throughout the day, indicating that the difficulties were not limited to a small group of applicants. The widespread nature of the reports raised questions about the portal’s ability to handle the volume of requests during the ongoing review period.
Legal Concerns Raised by Student Advocate
Advocate Vineet Jindal, who has been actively raising issues related to students’ grievances, highlighted another concern involving access to answer sheet copies. Referring to a complaint received from a parent, he stated that a student categorized for re-testing in three subjects had applied for copies of his answer sheets on May 20 but had not received them even after a considerable wait.
According to Jindal, the student’s mother was hesitant to pursue legal action because of concerns about personal security. He emphasized that resolving such issues becomes more difficult when affected individuals are unwilling to formally raise complaints or seek available legal remedies.
CBSE Shares Application Figures
Despite the complaints circulating online, CBSE maintained that the re-evaluation portal was processing a significant number of requests. The board said thousands of students had successfully submitted applications through the system.
According to figures released by CBSE, the portal had received 4,924 applications for verification and 39,056 applications for re-evaluation by 12 noon on Wednesday. This brought the total number of applications processed to 43,980.
The board also stated that its technical teams were continuously monitoring the platform to ensure that it remains secure, dependable and accessible for students.
Awaiting Clarification on Reported Glitches
Although CBSE acknowledged the volume of applications being handled, it has not yet provided a detailed explanation regarding the specific technical issues reported by students and parents. As applications continue to be submitted, many candidates are awaiting further updates and possible solutions to ensure smooth access to the re-evaluation process.
