In a statement shared on social media, the Prime Minister reaffirmed India’s solidarity with the United Arab Emirates during this tense period. He stressed that attacks targeting non-combatants and essential facilities cannot be justified under any circumstances. India, he noted, continues to advocate for resolving disputes through peaceful dialogue and diplomatic engagement.

He also highlighted the strategic importance of maintaining secure and uninterrupted navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical route for global energy supplies. According to him, stability in this region is essential not only for Middle Eastern peace but also for international economic security.

Indian Nationals Injured in Fujairah Incident

The incident occurred on Monday (local time) in Fujairah, where three Indian citizens sustained injuries. Authorities in the UAE have attributed the attack to Iran, alleging the use of missiles and drones targeting civilian areas.

Following the incident, the Indian Embassy in the UAE confirmed it is actively coordinating with local officials to ensure proper medical treatment and overall well-being of the injured individuals. Officials emphasized that the embassy remains closely engaged with the situation to provide all necessary assistance.

UAE Condemns Attack, Holds Iran Responsible

The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a strong statement condemning what it described as renewed and unprovoked aggression by Iran. The ministry confirmed that civilian sites and infrastructure were targeted, resulting in injuries, including those of the Indian nationals.

Calling the strikes a serious violation of international norms, the UAE labeled the attack as a direct threat to its national security and territorial integrity. The ministry further stated that such actions contradict the principles outlined in the United Nations Charter.

Warning Against Threats to Sovereignty

UAE authorities made it clear that the country will not tolerate any actions that undermine its sovereignty or endanger its population. The government asserted its right to respond appropriately to safeguard national interests, while remaining within the framework of international law.

Officials also urged an immediate halt to hostilities and called for adherence to global legal standards. The statement underscored the importance of accountability, holding Iran responsible for both the attack and its consequences.
