Ambedkar – Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday paid heartfelt tributes to Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar on his birth anniversary, remembering his enduring contribution to social equality and nation-building. The Chief Minister highlighted how Ambedkar’s lifelong dedication to uplifting disadvantaged communities continues to guide the country’s progress.
Tribute Highlights Focus on Equality and Education
In a message shared publicly, Yadav described Ambedkar as the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and a leading figure in the fight for social justice. He acknowledged that Ambedkar’s emphasis on education and equal rights significantly strengthened efforts toward women’s empowerment and inclusive growth. According to him, the principles laid down by Ambedkar—justice, equality, and dignity—remain deeply relevant in shaping modern India.
Yadav further noted that Ambedkar’s ideas and struggles serve as a lasting inspiration, especially for those working toward the welfare of marginalized and underprivileged communities. His words reflected a broader recognition of Ambedkar’s influence on democratic values and social reform.
Grand Celebrations at Birthplace in Mhow
The birth anniversary is being observed with great enthusiasm at Ambedkar’s birthplace in Mhow, located in the Indore district. A large gathering has been organized at the memorial site, where dignitaries, including the Chief Minister, are expected to participate. The event has drawn visitors not only from across Madhya Pradesh but also from other parts of the country.
Authorities reported that the influx of attendees began as early as April 12, indicating the scale and importance of the occasion. The commemorative program aims to honor Ambedkar’s legacy through public participation and tribute ceremonies.
Extensive Arrangements for Crowd Management
To ensure smooth coordination, officials have divided the event area into seven sectors. Each sector is being managed by dedicated teams comprising personnel from various government departments. Additionally, three control rooms have been set up at the tehsil premises to oversee operations and address any issues promptly.
Healthcare and safety have also been given priority. Emergency medical services have been arranged at six different locations in Mhow, with doctors and medical staff deployed on duty. Sanitation measures have been strengthened by local municipal bodies, while fire safety systems have also been put in place to handle any unforeseen situations.
Remembering the Architect of the Constitution
Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, widely known as Babasaheb, played a pivotal role in drafting the Indian Constitution and is often referred to as its principal architect. He also served as the first Law and Justice Minister of independent India, contributing significantly to the country’s legal and institutional framework.
Born into a socially disadvantaged family in Madhya Pradesh, Ambedkar faced discrimination early in life. Despite these challenges, he pursued education with determination and later became a leading voice advocating for the rights of marginalized communities. His efforts earned him recognition as a symbol of social change and equality.
Lasting Legacy and National Recognition
Ambedkar’s work continues to influence policies and social movements aimed at achieving fairness and inclusion. His commitment to justice and equality remains central to India’s democratic ethos. He passed away on December 6, 1956, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire generations.
