Security –  Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy has carried out a series of coordinated military actions targeting United States and Israeli-linked assets in the region, according to a report cited by state media. The operations were described as part of the 88th phase of an ongoing campaign referred to as Operation True Promise 4.

Multiple Targets Hit Across Strategic Gulf Region

According to details released by Iranian sources, the naval unit conducted four separate operations in the early hours of Tuesday. These strikes reportedly involved both missile and drone capabilities aimed at key positions associated with US and Israeli interests.

One of the primary incidents involved a commercial vessel identified as Express Halfong, an Israeli-linked container ship, which was reportedly struck by ballistic missiles while navigating the central waters of the Persian Gulf. The attack marks a significant escalation in maritime tensions in one of the world’s most critical shipping routes.

In a separate coordinated action, Iranian forces are said to have deployed explosive drones targeting a location believed to be used by US Marines along the coastline of the United Arab Emirates. The extent of damage or casualties from this strike has not been independently verified.

Advanced Systems And Military Installations Targeted

Further developments indicate that Iran also focused on disabling advanced military infrastructure in the region. Reports suggest that a counter-drone system operated by the US Fifth Fleet was destroyed near its base close to Manama airport in Bahrain.

Additionally, two sophisticated early warning radar systems located at a US military facility known as Jaber al-Ahmad base in Kuwait were reportedly hit using unmanned aerial vehicles. These systems are considered critical for surveillance and defense coordination, making their targeting strategically significant.

Iran Signals Control Over Strait Of Hormuz

Iranian officials have reiterated their strong presence in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital passage for global oil shipments. In statements carried by state media, authorities warned that any perceived hostile movement in the area would be met with immediate military response, including missile and drone strikes.

The message appears aimed at reinforcing Iran’s strategic influence over the narrow waterway, through which a substantial portion of the world’s energy supply passes daily.

Ongoing Retaliatory Campaign Continues

The latest operations are part of what Iran describes as a sustained response to actions taken by the United States and Israel. Iranian authorities maintain that these strikes fall within their right to self-defense under international law, following earlier military engagements involving the two countries.

Operation True Promise 4 has seen near-daily developments in recent weeks, signaling a prolonged period of confrontation that shows little sign of easing. The continued exchanges have heightened concerns about broader regional instability.

US Response Expected Amid Rising Domestic Concern

Meanwhile, in Washington, the evolving situation has prompted an official response. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that President Donald Trump is scheduled to address the nation in a televised speech on Thursday evening. The announcement was shared via social media, with officials urging the public to follow the update closely.

The planned address comes at a time when the conflict has entered its second month, with reports indicating growing domestic unease in the United States regarding the ongoing military involvement. Recent polling data suggests that public support for continued hostilities may be weakening, adding pressure on policymakers to clarify their strategy.

Uncertain Path Ahead For Regional Stability

As military actions intensify and diplomatic signals remain limited, the situation in the Middle East continues to evolve rapidly. With multiple nations involved either directly or indirectly, the risk of further escalation remains a key concern for global observers.

For now, developments on both the military and political fronts are expected to shape the trajectory of the conflict in the coming days.
