SpiceJet – Special Evacuation Flights From UAE Bring Stranded Indians Home

SpiceJet – SpiceJet has scheduled fourteen special flights from the United Arab Emirates on March 6 to help Indian nationals return home as tensions continue to affect travel across parts of West Asia. The additional flights aim to provide urgent transport for passengers who have been unable to travel due to disruptions caused by the ongoing regional conflict.

Special flights arranged to assist stranded passengers

According to an official statement released by the airline, most of the special flights will depart from Fujairah, with a smaller number operating from Dubai. The airline said thirteen of the fourteen flights will originate from Fujairah, while one flight will take off from Dubai.

The flights will connect stranded travelers to several major Indian cities. Nine services are scheduled to operate between Fujairah and Mumbai, while four flights will link Fujairah with Delhi. In addition, one flight from Dubai will carry passengers to Pune. These extra services are intended to increase seat availability and speed up the process of bringing stranded citizens back to India.

Airline officials said the decision was taken to respond quickly to the growing number of Indian travelers seeking to return home amid uncertain conditions in the region.

Additional flights already operated in recent days

SpiceJet has already been operating a number of emergency flights over the past few days to support the movement of affected passengers. The airline confirmed that it has operated 25 special flights from the UAE to India during the last three days.

These flights connected stranded passengers to several key destinations including Delhi, Mumbai and Kochi. The airline noted that the special services were organized to ease travel difficulties for Indian nationals who had been waiting for available seats on regular flights.

Officials said the additional flights played an important role in clearing backlogs of passengers and helping people reunite with their families after unexpected travel disruptions.

Airline industry responding to regional tensions

Meanwhile, IndiGo has announced an extension of its cancellation waiver for passengers traveling to and from the Middle East. The airline confirmed that customers will be able to cancel their bookings without paying additional charges until March 31.

The waiver also applies to flights connected with Istanbul. According to the airline, the measure is intended to provide greater flexibility for travelers who may need to change their plans because of the ongoing situation in the region.

Passengers have been advised to regularly check the status of their flights through IndiGo’s official website and social media platforms. The airline has also asked travelers to contact its customer support center if they require assistance with bookings, cancellations, or other travel-related concerns.
