Artificial Intelligence – BJP Praises Modi’s Tech-Driven Growth Vision
Artificial Intelligence – The Tamil Nadu unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance approach, describing it as firmly rooted in technology and innovation. The party said recent national-level gatherings such as the WAVES Summit and the AI Impact Summit highlight the Centre’s resolve to shape India into a leading force in Artificial Intelligence.

Summits Highlight Technology-Led Governance
In a statement issued on Monday, party spokesperson A.N.S. Prasad said the consecutive summits demonstrate what he called the Prime Minister’s long-term vision for India’s digital transformation. According to him, the events reflect a coordinated effort to ensure the country remains competitive in a rapidly evolving global technology landscape.
Prasad noted that the summits brought together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers and young innovators to deliberate on emerging trends in Artificial Intelligence, digital infrastructure and creative industries. He said such forums are essential for translating policy intent into measurable progress.
Focus on Creative and Digital Economy
The BJP leader described the gatherings as an impetus for strengthening India’s so-called Orange Economy, referring to sectors driven by creativity, digital content and innovation. He said the integration of entrepreneurship, technological advancement and youth engagement is central to expanding this segment of the economy.
Prasad pointed out that discussions at the AI Impact Summit underscored the importance of responsible innovation. He said the government has placed emphasis on ethical AI frameworks, equitable access to digital tools and skill development initiatives that prepare students and professionals for future opportunities.
According to him, the administration’s strategy is designed to ensure that Artificial Intelligence not only boosts productivity but also promotes inclusive growth. “Young people across the country are increasingly aligning themselves with policies that balance technological progress with accountability,” he said.
Building a Nationwide Innovation Ecosystem
Outlining the broader roadmap, Prasad said the Centre aims to create a scalable digital ecosystem that bridges urban and rural talent pools. He cited efforts to support startups, expand the gig economy and encourage the adoption of AI applications in diverse sectors such as agriculture, entertainment and design.
Smart farming solutions, immersive media platforms, animation, gaming and digital design were among the areas he identified as having strong growth potential. By integrating Artificial Intelligence into these industries, he said, the government hopes to generate employment while enhancing global competitiveness.
He added that collaboration with international partners and the establishment of youth-centric forums will help India benchmark itself against established innovation hubs. Policy accelerators and global partnerships discussed during the summits, he said, signal India’s ambition to play a larger role in shaping global technology standards.
Political Criticism and Counterpoint
Alongside praising the Centre’s initiatives, Prasad criticised the opposition, particularly Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He alleged that the Congress party has failed to articulate a coherent technology policy and is instead engaging in what he described as obstructive politics.
According to Prasad, public statements and protests by the opposition do little to enhance India’s reputation in the global arena. He argued that a constructive approach focused on development would better serve the country’s interests.
He contrasted this with what he called the government’s emphasis on policy-driven innovation. “While the current administration is working to embed digital progress into governance, others remain anchored in outdated political approaches,” he said.
Youth Seen as Key Stakeholders
Concluding his remarks, Prasad expressed confidence that India’s younger generation supports initiatives aimed at accelerating digital growth. He maintained that sustained investment in technology, skill development and innovation will determine the country’s trajectory in the coming decades.
As global competition intensifies in Artificial Intelligence and advanced technologies, the BJP leader said India’s ability to combine policy clarity with entrepreneurial energy will be crucial. The recent summits, he added, serve as a reminder that digital transformation is no longer optional but central to national development.
