Cinema – Shraddha Kapoor and Randeep Hooda Conclude Pune Schedule of Eetha
Cinema – The filming of Eetha has moved ahead with the completion of its Pune schedule, marking another milestone for the upcoming period drama.

Bollywood actors Shraddha Kapoor and Randeep Hooda have wrapped up shooting for the Pune leg of their forthcoming film Eetha. The latest schedule came to a close earlier this week after weeks of filming across several locations in and around the city.
Celebration Marks End of Pune Schedule
The cast and crew marked the conclusion of the schedule with a small celebration on set. A cake-cutting ceremony brought together the film’s team, including director Laxman Utekar and key production members. A short video capturing the cheerful moment has surfaced from the set, showing the team acknowledging the completion of this phase of filming.
The Pune schedule followed an earlier stint in Mumbai, where production was underway from late January through February. With both major city schedules now complete, the film progresses steadily toward its next stages.
A Story Rooted in Cultural History
Eetha draws inspiration from the life of one of India’s earliest performers associated with the traditional Tamasha and Lavni art forms. The film aims to portray the journey of a pioneering dancer whose life reflects both artistic excellence and social challenges of her time.
Tamasha and Lavni hold a significant place in Maharashtra’s cultural landscape, known for their vibrant performances, music, and storytelling traditions. By focusing on an early figure in this genre, the project seeks to spotlight a lesser-explored chapter of performing arts history.
While the makers have kept further plot details under wraps, the subject suggests a character-driven narrative grounded in heritage and personal resilience.
Randeep Hooda’s Upcoming War Drama
Apart from Eetha, Randeep Hooda is preparing for another major project titled Operation Khukri. The film is based on the book Operation Khukri: The Untold Story of the Indian Army’s Bravest Peacekeeping Mission Abroad, authored by Major General Rajpal Punia and Damini Punia.
The war drama will revisit the events of 2000, when 233 Indian soldiers were taken hostage by rebel forces in Sierra Leone, West Africa, during a United Nations peacekeeping mission. The incident led to a complex and high-risk rescue operation that remains a significant chapter in India’s military history.
Randeep is set to portray Major General Raj Pal Punia, who at the time was serving as a young Company Commander with the 14th Mechanised Infantry. The role will see him depict the tense negotiations and strategic maneuvers that unfolded in challenging jungle terrain during the crisis.
The actor has acquired the official film rights to the book, underscoring his involvement not just as a performer but also in bringing the real-life story to the screen with authenticity.
Personal Milestone for the Actor
On the personal front, Randeep Hooda and his wife Lin Laishram recently shared news of a new chapter in their lives. The couple announced on social media that they are expecting their first child.
In a joint post dated November 29, they reflected on their journey together and expressed excitement about welcoming their baby. The announcement was met with warm wishes from fans and members of the film industry.
Randeep and Lin first met through the theatre group Motley, founded by veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah. Their friendship gradually evolved into a relationship, and during the nationwide lockdown they began living together. The couple made their relationship public in 2022 and later married on November 29, 2023, in a traditional Meitei ceremony held in Manipur.
With professional commitments advancing and a personal milestone ahead, Randeep Hooda enters a significant phase both on and off screen, while Eetha moves closer to its anticipated release.
