PM Modi: will speak at the second WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine
PM Mod: On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will speak at the second WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine’s closing ceremony.

The three-day event, which is taking place at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, highlights India’s developing leadership and innovative efforts in forming an international agenda for traditional medicine that is grounded in science and people.
The PMO said on Thursday that “Prime Minister Modi has consistently emphasized mainstreaming traditional medicine and the Indian Knowledge System through research, standardization, and global collaboration.”
My Ayush Integrated Services platform (MAISP), a master digital platform for the Ayush industry, is one of the historic Ayush projects that the Prime Minister will introduce throughout the program. Additionally, he will introduce the Ayush Mark, which is intended to serve as a worldwide standard for the quality of Ayush goods and services.
Additionally, the WHO technical study on yoga instruction and the book “From Roots to Global Reach: 11 Years of Transformation in Ayush” are anticipated to be released by PM Modi.
He will also issue a commemorative postal stamp on ashwagandha, signifying the worldwide appeal of India’s ancient medical legacy.
In recognition of their unwavering commitment to yoga and its worldwide promotion, the PM will congratulate the winners of the Prime Minister’s Awards for Outstanding Contribution to the Promotion and Development of Yoga for the years 2021–2025.
The honors serve as a reminder that yoga is a timeless practice for harmony, balance, and well-being that will help create a stronger and healthier New India.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will tour the Traditional Medicine Discovery Space, an exhibition that highlights the richness, variety, and current applicability of traditional medical knowledge systems from India and throughout the globe.
The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Ayush are working together to organize the Summit, which is scheduled for December 17–19. “Restoring balance: The science and practice of health and well-being” is its topic.
Global leaders, policymakers, practitioners, scientists, Indigenous knowledge holders, and members of civil society engaged in intense discussions on developing evidence-based, sustainable, and equitable health systems throughout the summit.
